    Priceless parchments of the Sinaitic Manuscript, 4^th c. A.D., were preserved within the walls of St. Catherine’s Monastery in the heart of Sinai.  Discovered in 1859 A.D. by Count Tischendorf, the Codex Sinaiticus contains the New Testament and parts of the Old Testament.

     The pool is one of the few undisputed localities in ancient Jerusalem. Waters from the Spring Gihon flow into the Pool of Siloam through a tunnel which was engineered by King Hezekiah in 715 BCE. Hezekiah's 1750 foot tunnel can still be traversed by foot today.
